Everything you need to know about using ETFBuySignal in simple, clear English. No complex math, no complicated jargon.
What is ETFBuySignal?
ETFBuySignal is an automated screening tool built specifically for Indian investors. It continuously tracks the prices of major Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) listed on the NSE (National Stock Exchange) and helps you decide the best times to make your investment moves.
Understanding the Buy & Sell Signals
Our system assigns a clear action signal to every ETF. Here is what they mean in plain English:
The ETF has dipped slightly from its recent high, making it a great time to buy cheaper. We call this "buying the dip." It represents a high-conviction entry point.
The price is in a neutral zone. There is no urgency. You can comfortably hold what you have, or buy slowly (SIP) in small amounts over time.
The ETF has climbed rapidly and is now overpriced. Rather than buying more, you should consider locking in some gains by selling a portion, or wait for the price to cool down before buying again.
How Often Does the Data Refresh?
We update the ETF prices and trend calculations every 30 minutes during regular stock market trading hours (Monday to Friday, 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM).
💡 Tip: If you want the absolute latest second-by-second live price right now, simply click the Refresh circular arrow icon 🔄 at the top right of the dashboard table filters!
What is the "vs Fair Value" Metric?
Sometimes ETFs trade on the exchange at slightly higher or lower prices than what the underlying holdings are actually worth.
- Cheap (Discount): Excellent time to buy because you are getting the assets at a bargain.
- Fair Value: Safe to buy because the price matches its exact real worth.
- Expensive (Premium): You are paying extra. It is usually smarter to avoid buying now and wait for it to return to fair value.
